RIDE INFO
Club Rides - Regular
The ride will depart not later that 5 minutes from the start time.
Women's Ride
The first Sunday of the month from 9 am at the Springfield Hotel. Lou, Mandy, Emily will be hosting the ride for a couple of hours, covering approx 30-35 miles.
Aimed at women who are road riders who perhaps want to join a club but need more confidence / experience riding in a group or who just want to ride without testosterone!
Club Rides - Not always regular
New Riders - Pedallers
Group Riding
Where the number of riders justifies splitting in to groups, the groups will be divided in up to 3 speed groups based upon the average moving speed.
Ride Cancellation/Amendments
We will adhere to the British Cycling code of Ride assessment before every ride.
Sometimes rides need to change, we will communicate via Social media as soon as we are aware.
If a planned ride is deemed to be at risk due to circumstances we may be able to offer alternate routes, or off road rides or will be cancelled.
The circumstances may include (this list is not exhaustive):
IMPORTANT NOTICE
HELMETS MUST BE WORN ON ALL RIDES
- Saturday morning from Springfield Hotel, Wareham, 08:30 (winter rides may start later to allow for weather conditions).
- Wednesday evening from Purbeck Sports Centre in Winter, Wareham, Springfield Hotel, Wareham in Summer. (The weekly club newsletter will advise on the date of transition.)

- Many of our Club members ride subject to their own schedule and commitments, the Ride Calendar is always a great place to check out what is happening.
New Riders - Pedallers
- If you fancy coming along on a ride, you are welcome to make contact and can ride for up to a month before we would ask you to sign up to become a member.

Group Riding
Where the number of riders justifies splitting in to groups, the groups will be divided in up to 3 speed groups based upon the average moving speed.
- Group 1 - 17 - 18+ mph
- Group 2 - 16 - 17 mph
- Group 3 - 12 - 15mph
- We will not drop riders, but will break groups into smaller numbers for safety and convenience.
- If you cannot complete a ride please contact the ride leader.

- Icy conditions, rides will not be held if the temperature is to go below 5 degrees Celsius.
- Amber or Red Weather warnings as issued by the Met Office.
- Terror Threat Level Critical as issued by MI5.
- Always check the ride details before you set off, they may be changed late.
- Please contact the ride leader if you are unsure if a ride is going ahead or is likely to be changed.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
- Riding bicycles on or off road can be a dangerous pastime. Purbeck Peloton promotes safe and responsible cycling.
- Riders attending club rides do so at their own risk.
- Neither the club nor any of its members will be held responsible for any accidents or injury sustained on rides.
- Many of our ride will start or finish in darkness, adequate lighting is essential for person safety.
- Make sure that your bike is safe and sound, if you are not sure contact the your local bike shop.
- Please ride within the limit of your fitness and ability.
- Under 16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
